Baton Rouge Engagement Session | New Orleans Photographer | Preslie + Zach

February 20, 2018

How did you meet?
My cousin brought Zach to my house one summer when we were only 7 years old (crazy, right!?) I don’t even remember what we did that day, but that’s truly when it all began!

How did he propose?
I went to visit him one weekend in Princeton, during football season, not thinking he was going to propose at all. It was the one weekend in months I hadn’t done my nails, because I was so sure the proposal wasn’t happening. He kept telling me there was no ring! We were walking one night to meet his family and friends for dinner, running late as per usual (my fault). I was in a horrible mood because he was rushing me, and I didn’t get to change out of my sneakers I had worn all day! So as we were in the middle of an argument on the way to dinner, he stopped and turned to look at me with a nervous smile on his face. I knew immediately what he was doing. He then got on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said yes, of course! It was the best surprise!

What steps are you taking to prepare for married life?
Right now, we are going through marriage counseling to prepare for married life. It has truly been such a blessing!

While planning your wedding, what are you most excited about?
I’m most excited about getting to have all of my friends and family, in one place, for a night I’ll never forget!

What has been the most stressful part of planning a wedding?
The most stressful part of planning the wedding has been trying to find bridesmaid dresses. It took longer to find bridesmaid dresses than it took to find my wedding dress!

THE GIRL WITH THE CAMERA

MEET TASHA

laidback vibes meets super-profesh resume

With or without my camera, I’ve built a life that lives at the intersection of chill and reliable. Which basically means for my couples that I make their photography fun without ever being pushy. You tell me what you need and I’m there with a smile.

If I wasn’t a photographer, I’d be a walking tour guide. Nothing inspires me quite like the gorgeous mansions, grand old oaks, and colorful culture that makes New Orleans vibrant. Instead of going on a tour, though, I get to explore all these amazing places when I’m there to photograph you and your wedding. How lucky am I!?!

MEET
JACOB

self-taught meets self-motivated

Eight years ago, I fell hard for documenting weddings when Tasha started bringing me in to assist. It combines everything I love—getting to meet new people (if you can’t find me ever, it’s because I’m becoming best friends with your dad), experiencing new things, and creating something lasting while I’m at it.

Outside of videography, you can find me literally outside. I love to kayak, rock climb, and get out and explore with my family.
